Lendo com mais atenção o artigo:
"Increases in volume for stocks gapping up or down is a strong indication of continued movement in the same direction of the gap."
Mas isso não é uma característica presente nos três principais tipos de gap? Sendo assim, não acredito que aumento no volume deva ser considerado como fator determinante.
Só queria contribuir com o blog, mas parece que o texto não ajuda muito a responder as perguntas =(
Em uma leitura mais atenta..."gaps" parecerem ser quase um assunto secundario do artigo. :)
